KP’s fest. Sample from the tap at the bar, keg brougth by Degarth. Thanks Joe. Pours a hazy gold with a sticky pure white head which lasts. Aroma is cirtus with herbal hints, slightly flowery, and light pine hops- medium pils malt backbone. Very bitter in the flavor which I like- more citrusy hop flavor with some more herbal hints in the back of the throught as the bitterness comes in. Very nice IMpy pils- reminded me a bit like SA which I also like.

Draft. Huge saaz hop aroma is citric, grapefruit peel and lightly floral and beneath this lies a grainy/grassy smelling malt aroma. The body is a rich golden color and holds a firm creamy looking, lasting, white head. Big grapefruit hop blast in the fore followed by a balancing, slightly sweet, malt base that is a little grassy, but very crisp. At times the malt component gets almost bready, but the hops are firm and even and are the main element. Finish is light, dry and imparts a sustained hop bitterness. Nicely done.

Sampled from a keg on 8/26/06: Pours a clear golden with a thin-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet pilsner malt and nice Saaz hoppy presence. Body starts with a nice sweet, viscous pale maltiness and good fresh noble bittering hoppiness. Nicely-balanced and authentic, a good imperial pilsner.

On tap at Duniden Brewery (July 15th). Cloudy gold color with white head. Light aroma of malts and something sour (maybe lemon). The flavor has a nice combination of lightly roasted malts some sweet malts and fruity yeast. The sweetness plays against the lesser grainy maltiness to create a pleasing flavor. I also get a bit of sour or tartness. This is a crisp fresh tasting brew.

I really dig this beer; More so than most of the other Dunedin beers but only because their house-yeast, which is so plentiful in most all the others. But that’s cool; the house yeast thing, it makes their beers distinguishable, I just prefer this style better.

Pours a lovely golden / orange body and a tall white head. The aroma is blissful earthy / woody /grassy hops nearly shroud in biskity blanket of sweet candy like malts. The hops are citric in a way but more of an undertone of spruce wood chips in the spiciness but the citrus does come out in a lemon zest form; a hint of herbal-ness, lemon grass and rosemary twigs. I really like the way it’s all put together, I don’t know that it could ever be done the same way again, in truth. The beer seemed experimental; yet intended… if you get that?

A nice imperial pilsner. A big saaz and grassy aroma with perfume and flower notes. A cloudy yellow appearance with a white head. A sweet funky flavor with some lemons and peach. A slight alcohol burn on the way down. A nice beer indeed.

kp’s Fest of 26 Thanks to Degarth for bringing this keg all the way from Florida. Hazy, light gold with a long lasting, sticky white head. Rich malt aroma spiced lightly with flowery hops. The flavor runs slightly towards the bitter side, with plenty of malt to balance this. Goes over the tongue smoothly with plenty of body. Nice hop finish.

Tap. Pours a clear golden with a one finger lasting white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of pilsner malt and floral hops. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and well hidden alcohol. Very good.
