Growler acquired in trade wtih Degarth (thanks!). Poured a medium and slightly hazy amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, light caramel, and skunky / earthy. Tastes of eathiness, ctirus, and light caramel. Light to medium bitter finish.

On tap at the brewery, March 2008: Pours a hazy copper orange with a clingy, well-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet pale malts and fresh resiny grapefruity hops. Body starts fairly full and sweet with some toasted caramel malt and decent bittering and flavor hoppy presence. Finishes crisp and bittersweet. A pretty good IPA.

Draft... Clear amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. Medium-bodied and chewy with ticklish carbonation. Both the flavor and the aroma are malty offerings of caramel, toffee, brown sugar and biscuit with a passable note of citrus fruit. Medium to heavy sweetness; moderate grapefruit and pine needle bitterness. Sweet, roasty, lightly bitter finish. Think Red Head Red Ale with more hops.

on tap-pours a dissipating off white head and amber color. Aroma is mild citrus/pine, medium malt. Taste is citrus/pine-bitter hops first, then balanced by medium malt-caramel. Medium body. OK carbonation. Improves when moves to cellar temperature. Dry finish.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this growler. Pours a lightly hazy amber with golden notes and a smaller off white creamy head. Aroma of some mixed citrus and pine, caramel and a little skunky. Flavor of some light pine and grapefruit, caramel and cereal grains.

Pint on tap at brewery that pours a hazy copper with orange edges and thin white head. Mild aroma with some malt sweetness mixed with a punch of grapefruit hops. The taste is certainly an IPA. A mild malt sweetness starts things out for a moment until a fresh bitter grapefruit hoppiness kicks in. Nice hop experience with the tingling bitterness mixing with an upwelling of mild roasted malt sweetness.

Growler from Quake - thanks! Nice amber color with a fairly strong grassy-citrus aroma. Flavor is a bit off with the hops and sweetness not mixing all that well. Drinkable, but not sure its anything above average. OK to try.

On tap, courtesy Degarth. Light copper color with a white soapy head. Very mild slightly astringent hop aroma, little/no malt presence. Low carbonation. Pretty subdued flavor - there pale out there way hoppier than this. Soapy and thin.
