This seasonal brew should be continuosly made. I tried it 4/2008. I’m not a huge IPA fan, but I am with this beer.

draft @ redlight redlight. Spicy citrus hoppy aromas, grapefruit peel with some piney aromas. Pours an pale amber with a thick white head. Spicy flavor citrusy flavors, peppery with grapefruit and citrus hops, with a strong malty backbone with hints of caramel. Very good hop flavor and nice balance! Solid IPA and the rye gives a nice spicy flavor, i’d like to compare it with the non-rye version.

100th Florida brewed beer rating.

On tap at brewery. Pours up brutally cold into a tumbler with thin white head and has an opaque hazy copper and ripe orange peel edges body. Pretty full aroma for a Florida beer. I get mildly roasted malts, grapefruit rind, sweet malts and pale maltiness. Darn good dangerously sessionable brew. Starts with malt sweetness coupled with spicy hop bitterness, an earthy type note and sort of grapefruit hop bitterness. Not too hop forward of a brew since the malts grow to midway with a pleasing combination of rye malt twang and grainy maltiness that blends into biscuit and lightly roasted crystal malts. Very nice confluence of flavors. To the finish mildly roasted malts mix with a growing somewhat vague hop bitterness that lingers deep into the after taste. Dunedin is cranky out some really good stuff lately.

This is a seasonal brew put out by Dunedin. Tasted on 5/2/08 at the Dunedin Brewery in beautiful Dunedin, FL. A very good IPA with a delightful strong hoppy flavor, but not overpowering. Palate was smooth and rich. They should continue making this for sure.

Draft at Redlight Redlight. Pours a clear, brassy, copper-amber color. A small, foamy, off-white head leaves delicate, sticky bands of lacing behind. Aromas of rye malt, caramel, and cereal grains are accompanied by orangey citrus hops and hints of lemon rind. Flavors are well balanced, with a big rye component imparting its signature, clean, grainy sharpness to the sweet malt, while peppery citrus hops lend significant bitterness. The body is substantial, with lively carbonation that intensifies the hop flavor. A mild astringency shows on the finish. Pretty nice overall.
