It pours with a limited off-white head that covers a yellow-orange robe. Quite buttery in mouth, still quite vegetal and both of the effects dont manage to combine into an interesting mix with all that spicy nutmeg/ginger fighting going on. Light-medium body, low carbonation, quite sweet. sloth (1681), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA

Medium sized tan head, fair retention and a bit of spotty lace. Clear copper color. Lightly spicey, nutmeg dominated. Body is light, watery. Spices all over the place! Nutmeg, cinnamon, pine, a funky soapiness. Finish is spicey, biting and lingering which is not kool. SoLan (1427), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 26, 2005 Clear copper. Billowing, bubbly, tan head. Winter spices, pine trees, bit of malt and hops, little skunky-bottle from last year. Same flavor, watery. Palate is thin and watery up front, second half and finish are medium bodied. Didn’t care for last December, don’t care for now. PhillyBeer2112 (2089), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 15, 2005 What a curious beer. The spice is quite apparent in the flavor, if not the nose. Ginger and nutmeg are obvious. There’s an overall tart character that goes with a rounded sourdough quality, that is most apparent in the aroma. Cloudy, amber, with a stiff, rising head that gave the bishop’s finger out of the bottle (I feared bacteria upon opening, but I don’t think that was the cause) NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA

I get some pumpkin in there too, but that is probably a reaction to the nutmeg. Orange/tan color with a nickel thick head. All the flavors of x-mas! Overtly spicy. Ginger dominates, but nutmeg and citrus aren’t lost in the mix. A very interesting brew. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA

Great spicy flavor, with pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and piney evergreen like hop bitterness. hopdog (5614), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 12, 2005 Poured a medium, clody orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of spices, nutmeg and cinnamon. Lightly sweet. Although on the spicy side, its not that bad The body was a little on the thin side. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 22, 2005 Whoa, Nelly, is this one under-rated. More under-rated than a free buffet at a whorehouse. Thanks to beer handy for this. Pours slight turbid copper with aroma of malt, huge spices including cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg, some fruit, and even Concord grapes. Tastes malty, with more spices, concord grapes, and a toffee element. Yes, the spices are huge, but I did not find them overpowering at all. Plus, I found this one to be very comlex and very well balanced. I’ll drink this beer any day of the week, and then beg for another. Dunedin beers are better than they are rated, and they don’t even seem to get any love from the homeboys. Do you feel me, players?
