Thanks to Matta for this one! Hazy orange color that produces a large eggshell white head. Light malt aroma and lots and lots of Ginger. Lightly bitter from start to finish with a dry textured light to medium body. Heavily spiced, reminds me of a Gruit.

A gift from my regular beer store and he wants a review. Spice is the overwhelming taste, I would prefer it to be toned down just a tad. It has the standard hop dryness that characterize most Dunedin brews. With this high spice taste i believe it needs more alcohol to carry it. Nice but one would be all i would drink.

This year’s version is insanly spiced (ginger most predominant). As in, you get some spice burn! Shame, since the base ale is decent.

Dark, clear brown, poured with a half glass tall head that slowly settled. The spices in this (cinnamon, fruits, ginger, etc.) are blended well and don't overpower the sweet malts and dry hops - that's a tough thing to do and I give them credit for that. Body is just a little too carbonated, a minor quible. thanks, Matta!

Draft at Dunedin Brewery in Dunedin, FL. This beer formed a small sized ivory head with fine-large sized bubbles that mostly dissipated. The body was uncarbonated and cloudy with an orange-brown hue. The nose was spicy and cinnamon and the flavor was spicy. The mouthfeel was smooth, watery and thin. This was a light bodied beer with average amounts of lacing.

Hmmm, I liked this a lot more than everyone else did apparently. Amber in color, VERY spicy aroma....lots of cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.....the flavor didnt carry as much of it though, nice, sweet malts, still some spice and citrus as well. An excellent holiday brew.

Bottle. The packaging makes it look like it's something from a 1950s newspaper ad or a cartoon. Huh. Light amber and clear. Now, let me preface this next statement by saying that I normally enjoy holiday spice types of beer, but I felt like someone shoved a cinnamon stick up my nose when I smelled this stuff. VERY thick spices, a little too much so for my tastes. Ginger, nutmeg, honey - all that stuff in the commercial description, it's there. Flat, slightly thick mouthfeel. Something about this just didn't do it for me - perhaps it needed a touch more effervescence. It also seemed to lose some of its sweetness as it warmed up.

TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 114. This draft brew was sampled at the brewery in Dunedin Florida. This brew poured a small head of off-white colored fine to large sized bubbles that left behind a transparent brown uncarbonated body. The aroma was its highest point with a very nice combination of spicey cinnamon and nutmeg. The mouthfeel was smooth and flat with a lingering mild spicey hot bite. The flavor was another interesting mix of spicey notes.
