nice dark mohaghany/black appearance, unique smell of smokey black licorice, very unique flavor of smoke and malts. not tremendously balanced, very bizzare, but not bad

Poured dark darkest amber with tall tan head. Main aroma is the smokiness and there seems to be a touch of malt aroma too. The main flavor comes from the smokiness. The other flavors are rather subtle. There is a hint of grain malt in the beginning. Then the malt flavor starts to shift sweeter and more pronounced all the way to the finish. Hops are even less apparent than the malts behind the main flavor element, smoke. Nice tasting smoke ale.

Thanks to Degarth for this one. Pours turbid dark brown with a 1finger khaki head. Aroma of smoky roasty malt, some chocolate. Tastes rauchy, with a smoked malt presence coupled with some nuts and chocolate syrup. Medium to light palate, with a somewhat sweet yet smokey finish. Unique and refreshing!

Poured as very hazy deep amber color with a small tan head. Aroma of smoke and vinyl. Sweet malt underneath. The flavor was malty and smokey. Lightly tart. Medium bodied.

I’ve been looking for this in stores for months and finally found it. Dark brown with slight ruby red tint to it, nice thin mocha head, some floaters? Nice porter taste, not too chocolatey and I tasted a little alcohol to it, different but good, I’ll have another.

Pours borwn with a tan head. Smells of household cleaner. Tastes of cigarettes and very watery.

midnight ruby color, looks black but the edges are garnet. super thick and tall dense foamy light tan head. aroma is sweet malt, yeasty and sweaty like a saison. flavor is also a little like a dark saison, sweet and dry maltyness some tangy yeastiness. very faint smoky flavor but I would call this a scottish saison. dryish finish. thanks Jenny9000 for hand carrying this from FL, you’re my sweetheart!!

22 oz bottle pours with a massive light tan head. Aroma is mostly orange peel and tangerine zest. Still, four inches of head and two fingers of murky brown beer. Taste is really light bodied, like iced tea. There’s some smokiness and some roasted malt but not hardly enough. Watery and bland is the best I can say.
