Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA May 11, 2009 On cask at Dunedin’s 1st Annual Hoppy Endings. Pours muddy copper haziness with gold edges and off white head. The aroma has malt sweetness and inviting rye to go along with floral, spice hops and a hint of earthiness. The taste starts sweet and then a rye twang surfaces along with hops mixing just after laying down a layer of pine and grassiness. To midway more malts make an appearance with caramel, malt roastiness and sweet malts. As the experience arrives at the finish a faint pulse of peppery heat picks up and gets noticed like a light puff of air to go along with a faint vegetable sensation. I heard they plan to up the amount of ancho peppers the next time around. Sounds good to me.
