Commercial Description:
Named after a local band, this Scottish style Stout is extra mean due to the hefty helping of roasted and black patent malts combined with a generous helping of North Western Cascade hops.

Bottle Pours a nearly black witha thin fine dark tan head. Persistant sheeting lacing. Some dark roasted aroma and coffee. Flavor is coffee and some sour acidic flavors aw well. Lingering woody bitter flavor. Quite thin and generally unimpressive. Thanks to Degarth for this one.

Courtesy of Pailhead. Pours dark brown with no head. Aroma and flavor is all coffee. Not a fan of coffee first, and second this smells and taste like cheap a-- coffee. Long smoky aftertaste. Not my thing.

Bottle: Courtesy of Degarth via trade. Aroma has lots of black coffee and light roasted malts. Pours a dark brown with no transparency and a small off-white head. Flavor is all cheap black coffee and very little else. Look elsewhere.

black body, medium tan head that is tall, thick, and foamy. aroma is toffee malt and light molasses. a little fig in the aroma too. carbonation is mild, body is real light for a stout. flavor is dry roasted malt, a little tart for a stout. finish like acidic coffee. aftertaste like the last sip of a cup of coffee. thanks Jenny9000 for hand carrying this from Fla!

Small light brown head, retention is good with a fair amount of patchy lacing. A mostly black brew.Nose of light roast and cola notes. Body is med/light, weird spritzyness. Light chocolate, roast flavors with bandaidy notes. Finish is dry and chalky.

16 oz bottle from a trade with Degarth - Thanks Joe! - Pours black with a nice tan head that settled back to about an 8th of an inch and laced all the way down the glass in layers. Aroma of chocolate, some roasted malts, and some hops. Flavor is of coffee, some chocolate, and some bitter hops to finish it off.. Palate is somewhat oily and medium bodied for a stout. Easy drinking and a very interesting beer. I think this might be a tad underrated. This doesn’t blow you away with over the top flavor but it is a pretty nice stout as far as drinkability.

Bottle: This was a great overal stout, your basic normal stout flavors of dark chocolate and hops. Dark dark brown with slight tan head that went away pretty quickly.

Pint bottle, $2.49. Beer pours black as night, with a good looking medium tan head and lacing. Aroma is heavy on the chocolate and hops. This is a stout for stout drinkers. Not the least bit wimpy in flavor or hops. Chocolate and hops everywhere. Roasty, long bitter finish. Its big and tasty. Maybe not for everybody, but I enjoyed it. I can finally say I have had a Florida beer that had some character. I’m going back to the bottle shop for a couple more of these.
