| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2005 16 oz bottle from a trade with Degarth - Thanks Joe! - Pours black with a nice tan head that settled back to about an 8th of an inch and laced all the way down the glass in layers. Aroma of chocolate, some roasted malts, and some hops. Flavor is of coffee, some chocolate, and some bitter hops to finish it off.. Palate is somewhat oily and medium bodied for a stout. Easy drinking and a very interesting beer. I think this might be a tad underrated. This doesn’t blow you away with over the top flavor but it is a pretty nice stout as far as drinkability. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA

Dark dark brown with slight tan head that went away pretty quickly. yayforbeer (648), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 5, 2005 Pint bottle, $2.49. Beer pours black as night, with a good looking medium tan head and lacing. Aroma is heavy on the chocolate and hops. This is a stout for stout drinkers. Not the least bit wimpy in flavor or hops. Chocolate and hops everywhere. Roasty, long bitter finish. Its big and tasty. Maybe not for everybody, but I enjoyed it. I can finally say I have had a Florida beer that had some character. I’m going back to the bottle shop for a couple more of these.
