Commercial Description:
Named after a local band, this Scottish style Stout is extra mean due to the hefty helping of roasted and black patent malts combined with a generous helping of North Western Cascade hops.

Thanks to Matta for sending this my way!! Deep black color and a creamy mocha colored head. Roast malt in the aroma with additions of coffee, chocolate, and a hint of smokiness. The flavor is rich and dominated by slightly burnt roast malt flavors with a pleasant burnt malt finish. A Stout that is a little different and definately worth trying.

Very dark beer with almost no head. I was able to get only a few whisps out of the bottle. Nose of burning tobacco and leather. Interesting collection of flavors in this one. Chocolate, coffee, smoke, ash, tar, salt, something vegetable. Thanks to Bierbauch for the bottle.

Deep black with a dark brown head. Smoky malt aroma, soapy too. Flavor is weird, soapy with a ton of smoked malts, and a sour dish-water flavor throughout. OK, but nothing great. Musty and with flavors of bark in the finish, the Cascade hops are evident in the finish as well. Thanks to Matta for the trade.

Black color, opaque, with a medium large light brown head. The aroma was extremely smokey...big time, with some nice roasted coffee bean tones. The flavor was very similar...quite smokey, roasted, and a semi-sweet chocolate character. The feel was a little disappointing though...pretty thin and watery. Thanks BBB63 for the unexpected brew.

Opaque black color with a medium light brown head. Nice smokey, roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. Roasty flavor with some malt and hops bitterness. Very thin feel. This is definitely this beer's downfall. Ohter than that, very enjoyable!

Nice dark brown/black color.Small tan head that faded quickly leaving a slaight lace behind.Malty aroma with a hint of coffee and chocolate and maybe a light smoke to it as well. The flavor wasn't as good as the aroma unfortunately.Malt flavor with a hint of coffee and mild hop presence.Thin bodied with a decent aftertaste of hops and malt.A decent brew but nothing special and could definately use a little stronger body. Thanks to Envane for this brew.

Thanks to Matta for this. Very nice looking pour. It is a crisp nearly black beer with a nice tan head. The pour looks quite thick. There are roasted and coffee malts present in the aroma and also in the taste. It has a bit of an earthy taste and is fairly dry. Nice beer.
