Teege (71), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 20, 2009 Nitro draft at redlight redlight. Pours dark and creamy. Nose is roasted malts and hints of wet dog. A little thin on the palate for a nitro stout. Roasty and bitter but kind of weak. Not a big fan. SoLan (1369), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 1, 2009 Black/dark brown. Dense, tan nitro head. One dimensional with roasted malt. Smooth nitro body. Very easy to drink, not complex, but mildly enjoyable. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Sep 17, 2009 had on NITRO TAP at Redlight! 20,000 leagues under the sea, the classic. super roasty nose, decent mouthfeel .. . mini kickback .. . easy drinking .. . no frills but tasty.. sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 7, 2009 draft @ Dunedin.
pours dark brown with nice beige head.
Aroma of good roasted malts, with hints of coffee.
Taste, smooth, thick, malty, some chocolate malts with lingering coffee.
Simple yet loaded with good character. Do get some of the hops, though the profile remains filled with good roast / malts and some coffee in teh finish.
jjuf1853 (467), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Mar 16, 2009 Draft at IBG. Pours a pitch black color with a nice aroma of roasted malts. Creamy tan head that lingers and clings to the side of the glass. Flavor is mostly bittersweet chocolate and coffee mixed with a touch of smokiness and a nice bitter finish. Creamy smooth mouthfeel. Oakes (8058), gone rambling, Vietnam Feb 21, 2009 Near black. Smells like...well... a nitro stout. Tart, black malt notes on the palate. Kind of thin underneath of that. A little bit peanutty. Meh. Beershine (2678), Hue, Vietnam Feb 20, 2009 At brewpub. Nitro appearance with attendant flattened aroma that whispers of Cool Whip and coffee. Flavors are strange and like salty cheese. Oddly, I liked that Parmasean-like flavor even if it didn’t belong. bconley (351), Fern Park, Florida, USA Feb 19, 2009 Draft @ Redlight. black pour, tan head. About what I expected. Roasted malts, very bitter. I can see getting this again. A bit watery for me, but pretty tasty.
