Pours a clear brown body, rather light in color for a Stout, with a small light brown nitro head. Fairly light nose, lightly roasty, more chocolaty than roasty even, with just s light touch of hops. The flavor is kinda thin, with chocolate malt, roast, and a very light bitterness on the back end. Light bodied with a watery texture and typical nitro carbonation feel. Overall, this was a decent drinker, it went down pretty easy and rather quickly. GodOfThunder (877), Orlando, Florida, USA

Poured black color with an average nitro creamy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted chocolate and coffee malty aroma. Medium body with a dry smooth texture. Medium roasted bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Smooth drinkable brew. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA

Light melba toast and wet grain aroma over some mild lactose tones. Palate was a bit thin. Nice balance - nutty light hazelnut and roast flavors, finish leaves a hint of roast. hopscotch (5507), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 9, 2008 Nitro... Pitch black ale with a creamy, khaki head that never goes away. The aroma presents coffee and vanilla. I’m not picking up much, if any, chocolate. Light to medium-bodied and silky with expired carbonation. Sweet with mild burnt bitterness. Well-roasted, lightly sweet finish that dries out a little. Sandman2222 (42), Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 8, 2008 Pretty good stout. I would make a comparison to Guinness, however, The DNS is much more complex. I liked the subtle coffee flavor with a more pronounced chocolate. It did the beer good. Finished kinda blandly, but I’d get it again.
