A long lasting densely packed creamy tan head sits on top. The aroma is a strong dry coffee bean and typical Irish stout aromas. The flavor is really good for a 4.8% beer. Rich cold extract coffee meets that astringent black malt. Some light walnuts. The palate is really drying and leaves you wanting a glass of water. Slick texture. Medium body up front but light and airy on the finish. MacAnUltaigh (45), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 24, 2008 CO2 draught: Murky dark brown, off-white lace. No nose! Flavor is coffee and grocery store brand chocolate ice cream. Dry and delicious. More hops than some other stouts I’ve had, and the CO2 was a little rough. No problem finding the bitter chalky finish that I was looking for. Overall this one was original enough have another soon. fishingnet (1047), Brandon, Florida, USA

Big, foamy nitro head, and a ton of lacing. Subdued aroma, mostly various roasted malts and some chocolate. Big roasted coffee flavor, and malty as hell. Milky finish. Very smooth and drinkable, a perfect alternative to Guinness. jcwattsrugger (5578), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 15, 2007 On tap at brewpub. Pours dark dark brown but coming up short of stout like jet black with tan head. The aroma is mild with roasted malts and burnt malts. The taste begins with highly roasted malts and a hint of malt astringency that helps create a bigger roasty malt punch. At the same point in time the burnt malts run through the flavor creating a tasty mix along with a slight malt sweetness. The beer ends roast, burnt and on the dry side. The burnt malts really linger into the after taste. BigMilly8 (376), Holiday, Florida, USA

Nose of roasted coffee and chocolate. Not much on this one for taste, kinda bland. Very nice palate though, and goes down nicely.
