The aroma is malty and very much like a wheat beer. It also has a lot of alcohol in the aroma. The appearance is pretty good it’s a caramel color and the head is average. The flavor is good with lots of malts and some yeast. The palate is pretty good too but the aftertaste has an odd bitterness to it. Overall it’s worth a try.

Very disappointed in this beer. I paid an awful lot for a 4 pack that had about as much to offer as a Budweiser. Oktoberfest must suck in Dunedin :(

Small tan head, fair retention with minimal laceing. Copper color. Nose is lightly sour with a goodly amount of toffee. Body is med/light. Dry maltiness, light astringency, buttery notes. I,m not really getting anything Ofest like? Me thinks it,s bad? Thanks Joe.

beer pours a slightly hazy orange/tan, with a short-lived white head that leaves a nice collar but little lace. some nice toasted nut notes in the nose, with perhaps a somewhat berry-like fruitiness. flavor is pretty mellow - a little nutty sweetness up front, a lightly herbal hop flavor, some ok IBUs. pretty solid beer. perhaps a weird anise note drifts by in the finish. still, a pretty easy drinker in all.

Translucent orange yellow, small offwhite head. Caramel, slight toastiness, slight vanilla in the aroma. Large buttery diacetyl flavor. Mild caramel, toasted malt, and an herbal hop character all try to poke through with limited success. Finish is comprised of the degenerate vestiges of butter, butterscotch, and the other aborted flavors. Mouthfeel is medium light and fairly thirst quenching.

1 pint bottle via trade with Degarth - Thanks Joe! Pours copper with a fair white foamy head. Aroma of caramel, malts, and a bit of butterscotch. Flavor is sweet caramel malts and a bit of that butterscotch with a slightly sour aftertaste that I couldn’t quite figure out. Palate is medium bodied and fairly smooth. Easy drinking Marzen that I was a little surprised wasn’t rated a touch higher. Not bad.

No butterscotch here. I get some floral aroma and something chemcialish. Orange tinted tea color. Wimpy head. Watery with a not quite malty enough for the style feel. Has flavor of old fruit and veggies when it should just be a mellow malty one dimesional guilty pleasure. it’s not awful it just isn’t very good.

Corps semi mince, faible carbonatation.
