Big time butterscotch aroma and in the flavor, very different than any other oktoberfest i’ve had. Weird flavor but different and good.

I read what others say and most say a butterscotch nose.I say maybe. To me it smells like cheese.Pours an amber color.I am just not a big fan of any of there brews.I had Avery Hog Heaven when i visited the brewery. This no exception, just not good beer.

Huge butterscotch aroma. Clear copper coloured body is topped by a partial cover of off-white head. Strong butterscotch and some vegetal flavours. Medium body with low carbonation and a very slick mouthfeel. Stem glass, allowed to warm from fridge temp. Bottle (trade, Dec. 2004) sampled with MRomero548, Olivier, Rastacouere and Taktik_MTL. Thanks, Degarth!

Aucune carbonisation. (Rating #120)

Light hazy amber. Smallish white head. Fruity aroma of water melon, floral aspects a graham cookies are diminished in goodness by a slash of diacetyl. Herbal, potentially nice toasted malt. Slightly tart and bitter at the same time, a bit vegetal. Rather thin bodid, tingly carbonated. This could have been decent without the butter.

Bottle: I really don’t know what entices a brewer to package and sell this stuff. Poured orange with a medium white head. Huge, huge, huge diacetyl aroma. Big butter, butterscotch flavor. Butter and not much else. Terrible beer and one I threw down the sink.

Nose some caramel and massive diacetyl. Color cloudy medium amber. Seems viscous. Taste--wow--yeah this is basically a butterscotch O-fest. Somehow not as blatantly tongue-coating as Old Speckled Hen--cleaner tasting due to a lager yeast, maybe? I’m still convinced I have a sensitivity to diacetyl moreso than most. Not bad but way wierd.
