| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 27, 2005 Butterscotch aplenty at the nose . Sweet malts on the palate with a bitter finish. Would like to try a fresher bottle. egajdzis (3645), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 27, 2005 Poured a copper color with a small, off white head, that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of butterscotch, caramel, toffee and nuts. Taste of caramel malts, toffee, very light bitterness, and a very faint sourness beginning to develop. I think we just saved this one from being infected. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 3, 2005 Bottle... Lightly hazy, amber lager with a large, frothy, off-white head. Great retention and dripping lacework. Dried plum, dark raisin and red grapes fill the nose. The bottle may be infected as I picked up a lot of malt in the flavor, but also some pungency, which isn’t consistent with the style. Notes of toffee and lemon. Very light bitterness. Thanks to matta for the bottle. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

I have a dilemma with this rate.
The sample I got, I actually rated 7/4/5/2/10.
But as many fine beers as I have had from this brewery and the 5 ratings already posted, convince me I had a bad bottle. I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Had it had a decent number of ratngs, I wouldn’t have pulled my punches.
This looked good at the pour, even the aroma was good, but it had a sourness in the flavor that wasn’t good and it went from start to finish. I’ll attempt to try this again sometime, I’m sure it will be worth seeking out. The first bad one I’ve had from them. BBB63 (4274), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 7, 2003 Thanks to Matt for the trade. Amber hue with a small off-white head and some lace. Aroma is nutty malts, light biscuit, floral hops, barnyard yeast esters and a touch of honey. The taste is pretty straight forward, earthy and malty with an undertone of crisp and lighty fruity hops. Chalky and thin mouthfeel. An okay brew, noting special, good to try once. BierBauch (654), Cape Coral Waterfront Wonderland, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 28, 2003 16oz Bottle. Almost clear dark copper colored with minimal head and lacing. Aroma is interesting blend of malts in which no particular one stands out. Medium bodied and smooth with a lightly dry finish and little bitterness. Flavor is mostly malt with roasted malt leading the way. Not a bad offering for an average brewer. matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 16, 2003 #177 ** Dunedin Octoberfest Ale, Shit, this is really good Shit! I will drink the Shit out of this Shit! ** I am very pleased with this seasonal, it pours as beautiful as a Florida sunset, an amazing copper/golden body with edges of glowing gold and fleeting fizzy head. The aroma and flavor are very herbal, tealeaves, honey, sweet caramel malts, some notes of citrus hops. Like most of Dunedin’s brews, this is also light on the palate, a light/medium palate….. the finish begins caramel/sweet but then finishes with notes of a tart lemon essence. Quit different than the everyday Octoberfest, very enjoyable!
