The aroma has light notes of metal and berries, as well as a slight acidity. The flavor is dominated by notes of berries, on an acidic back ground and with a dry bitter metallic end. This is certainly not an Oktoberfest by style, it seems much closer to a Flemish Sour Ale. MiP (9087), Sønderborg, Denmark

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 11, 2005 Light hazy amber. Smallish white head. Fruity aroma of water melon, floral aspects a graham cookies are diminished in goodness by a slash of diacetyl. Herbal, potentially nice toasted malt. Slightly tart and bitter at the same time, a bit vegetal. Rather thin bodid, tingly carbonated. This could have been decent without the butter. hopscotch (5483), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 3, 2005 Bottle... Lightly hazy, amber lager with a large, frothy, off-white head. Great retention and dripping lacework. Dried plum, dark raisin and red grapes fill the nose. The bottle may be infected as I picked up a lot of malt in the flavor, but also some pungency, which isn’t consistent with the style. Notes of toffee and lemon. Very light bitterness. Thanks to matta for the bottle. jcwattsrugger (5333), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
