PorterPounder (2749), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Mar 30, 2008 Brandon, Fl. - Kingdom Liquors, 22 oz bomber. Dark copper pour, nice off-white head. Interesting and enjoyable aroma - hints of spices and mint. Solid flavor with hints of chocolate, nectarines, some Christmas spices - very complex and tasty. Lively mouthfeel - just the right amount of carbonation. One of the better ones from Dunedin - a brewer that seems to suffer from long shelf occupancy at times.
fatti_bobatti (211), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Nov 28, 2007 ABC liquors, st petersberg fl. poured a deep amber with a giant creamy white foam. smell was very earthy and resin hops characteristics. Taste was similar to a lightly hoped english style ipa, lots of resin followed by a malt and yeast flavor. the bread and yeast gives way to a clean finish of citrus bittering hops. the mouth feel is thin and watery the biggest set back to this beer. goldtwins (3658), Nesconset, New York, USA Oct 4, 2007 Poured a slightly hazy reddish color with a medium sized beige head. The aroma was dusty with notes of paper. Sweet malt underneath. The flavor was mildly sweet with nutty and caramel notes. Dry finish with a lively carbonation. JoeMcPhee (3586), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Oct 4, 2007 Thanks to goldtwins for sharing this one. Deep red colour with a thin off white head. Aroma is a bit earthy and sweet. Some toasted malt and a bit of buttery character. Lightly leathery and dusty. Phenolic. Meh. dankman38 (217), Somewhere in, Ohio, USA Oct 1, 2007 WARNING, HEAD ALERT!!! It pours a nice red amber with a giant head if your not too careful. Yeasty nose. Tangy almost sweet flavor with a touch of hops, not bad. The finish kills me though, my mouth tastes like it did when my mother would pour dawn dish washing liquid in my mouth for using foul language as a kid; this is this beers major flaw.
