Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Aug 3, 2007 Consumed via draft @ brewery on June 23, 2007. Pours gold with a slight haze and thin bright white head. The aroma has some yeasty fruitiness and hints of bubble gum while still pretty cold. Taste starts pretty much sugary sweet with seemingly no honey influence. Then there’s a hint of fruit like lemon citrus-ness. That flavor begins to mix with the sweetness to make it more sweet lemon-like fruitiness along with a growing yeastiness. There’s a lingering sugar sweetness and slight lemon tartness into the after taste. BeerFanDan17 (610), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Jul 20, 2007 Belgian wheat that was pretty sweet and citrussy. Not a big wheat fan, but this was a good ale nonetheless. Drank smooth. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA Jul 17, 2005 Great belgian wheat normal spices and citrus flavor, but with a sweet aftertaste. Very different but good. Retorp (2154), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 13, 2005 Draft at the Mellow Mushroom Tampa. Something plastic-like in the aroma. Honey aroma is almost not present. Honey comes through in the aftertatse, but it is less prominent then you would think. Yeasty thickness with a touch of hop is the dominating feature then the honey comes in toward the end. Very different and good to see Dunedin is continuing to try new things. BrockLanders (747), Panama City, Florida, USA Oct 12, 2004 On tap at Dunedin Brewery this past July. Not too shabby...I was a bit surprised by the 8% ABV listed on the chalk board. I see it’s listed on Ratebeer at 5.2% which is probably closer to reality. Pours a light amber color with a small white head. Nose is sweet, of light malts and a hint of hops. Sweet taste is evident, a bit of hop bitterness, just enough to keep the honey at bay. Well, I had to give it a try. As I remember after finishing this I immediately asked for a large glass of their "special guest" draft ale....DFH 90. MAP (1085), Lakewood, Ohio, USA Jul 20, 2004 Good kick to this beer, both from the hops and from the ABV (the barkeep said around 8%, curious.) So it makes for a good lasting impression. The beer starts off smooth however, and you are presented with a good mix of sweetness and a honey smoothness. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA Aug 16, 2003 8/7/03: on tap at the Dunedin Brewery. moderate honey aroma. fairly sweet to the taste with loads of honey throughout. clean, crisp and hoppy. as this beer warms there is more evidence of cinnamon and orange in the flavor. matta (1137), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 10, 2003 Updated: Aug 30, 2003I was lucky enough to sample this seasonal beer on draft at a local beer festival. It has only been 18 hours from my last
glass of this brew, but as I recall, the Summer Buzz is golden amber in color, a bit yeasty in flavor, sweet with honey but not over powering, well balanced with the wheat still noticeable. Very good summer brew! --- I am waiting with great anticipation for Dunedin’s other seasonal beers, especially their Highland Game Porter, and their Old Mean Stout.
