| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 5, 2009 Pours a hazy yellow with a huge rocky white head. Laces down the whole glass. Don’t think a beer could look much better. Aroma is slightly funky with huge citrus over-tones. Tangerines, nectarines, peach, honey, spice, grass, and a hint of earthy funk and barnyard. It tastes quite yeasty, but has a very nice hop and malt profile. Hay and straw start out. Honey, citrus and soft fruit, coriander, and grass in the mid-palate. The finish is quite dry and tastes like yeast and earth. Mouth feel is very lively. Damn fine beer! Glad I have one more of these in the cellar... And will probably add more. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 3, 2009 750ml Bottle. I had never had a beer before that threw up so much sediment on the sides of the bottle, it was like an old pinot noir. It poured cloudy golden yellow with a massive white head that lasted ages. On the nose there were notes of honey, pepper, earth, grass and lime. Flavour was along the same lines as the aroma with citrus and honey standing out at first and the earthy, spicy notes coming at the end. Huge body, amazing balance and very long peppery finish. Couldn’t fault this in any way at all. JulienHuxley (193), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 2, 2009 Bottle. Appearance is slightly cloudy gold color with a thick rather tenacious head with solid lacing. Aroma: Leafy, peppery, orange bark, earth, pepper, eucalyptus. Flavor is earthy, mild honey, herbal and some alcohol. The mouthfeel is awesome, sparkling at first, champagne-like turns into an oily, velvety full mouth sensation and a very dryyy finish. kevd193213 (486), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 29, 2009 750 mL bottle. Golden, slightly cloudy pour with a thick eggshell white head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma of pepper and yeast with that familiar barnyard presence. Great taste of bready yeast, sharp apples with a lingering finish.
