saxo (3513), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Feb 15, 2008 Bottle. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are citrus, fruits and yeast. Nice bitter and acidic. AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Feb 15, 2008 Orange/yellow color with a decent white head. Big citrus fruit, earthy aroma with dry malts. Medium body. Nice merry go round of flavors range from lightly sweet to bone dry and tart with dusty malts, herbs, an earthy mustiness, grassy hops and lemon; a pretty complex brew here. The finish here is dust bowl dry. Very good. 2177 kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA Feb 12, 2008 Hazy golden in color with a thick creamy head that remains and nice lacing. The Aroma is bready, bret yeast, pear and hay. Flavor is spicy aged lemon, wheat and sweet malty spices. Medium to full body, crisp and clean. Highly carbonated, long dry finish. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England Feb 12, 2008 I’m sure skyway tuffs were made of dupont. They never tasted this good though. At the beer festival in Manchester, though I’ve had it before from our kid. Great aroma, great taste. Fucking belting. mmhnto (31), Lisle, Illinois, USA Feb 11, 2008 Pours a beautiful orange color with thick head and Belgian lace. Aroma has honey notes and citrus spice with heavy alcohol. Dry with power packed finish. This is probably one of my favorite beers of all time. RomanW70 (297), Providence, Rhode Island, USA Feb 9, 2008 Updated: May 31, 2008Had on tap. Really nice seasonal ale. Pours golden red. Intense floral aroma of yeast, light fruits, and aromatic hops. Has a good deal of funk, but that only serves to complement the other flavors. has a great spicy funky, bready quality to it. Very smooth. Nice finish, An excellent farmhouse ale. robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Feb 8, 2008 thanks to mcbackus for the bottle.
cloudy golden color, nice big head that dissipats quickly, but leaves a wonderful lacing. Very aromatic, skunky, and sour, with touches of lemon, and pepper. Flavour is smooth, and almost a touch lambic like with the sourness. Wow, this is a great saison, easily the best of it’s style. BOLTZ7555 (1053), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Feb 6, 2008 Aroma of skunk is a bit disappointing but the pour is intense gold with a small white head. Flavor is more robust than expected; citrus, herb, and bread. Not overly thick on the palate. A good beer but not deserving of the rating.
