Fresh hoppy aroma with banana and coriander hints. Its sharp, well balanced taste carries herbal notes and hides the alcohol perfectly. Ends with a long bitter/herbal finish. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 14, 2009 Bottle. Moderate aromas all around. Grain and hay for the malt, lemon and herbs for the hops, musty and barnyard for the yeast, and background notes of white wine, clove and pineapple. Head is large, frothy, white, with good lacing and is fully lasting. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and very lightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery, and has a lively carbonation. Nicely balanced, complex and an easy drinking Saison.
