Great spicy and estery aroma, although the appearance was lacking. Slight head and slight carbonation for a saison, but very fruity and estery. Still very refreshing despite its strength. Great aftertaste and smooth finish.

(750ml bottle) Traded with Boutip. Wow... this is a good beer - even after the Fantome Pissenlit! The cork nearly killed me. The foamy white head nearly drowned me. The Stonehenge size sediment has dwarfed me. All while the flavours of orange zest, coriander, crazy farmhouse yeast with a subdivison of malt have sent me to the crazy house. This is a fine, fine beer! I look forward to going nuts on it again...

750ml bottle (Porvoo Harvest/Dark Beer Festival 2007)
hazy rich yellow, thin to no head. light sweet malt and spicy aroma. quite lively in the mouth. a good sweet malty body, but a wickedly peppery hoppiness quickly comes over. A tad alcoholic.

Bottle at Het Waterhuis a/d Bierkant 06-12-07 Poured a mid gold colour with a white rim of bubbles and medium carbonation. Excellent beer that started quite fiercely bitter but with a stunning spiciness, yeast and hop supporting cast thrown into the equation, yum.... The alcohol whilst quite pokey is never an unwanted guest and only really shows itself as a warming participant on the way down. A lovely winter beer and another corker that I’ve had from Dupont.

Draught at Kulminator, Antwerp. Hazy golden with a white head. Grassy and yeasty aroma with tropical fruits. Soft and slightly metallic. Grassy bitterness with warming alco-feel.

Bottle at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy yellow/golden color, big white lasting head. Aroma is fruity, sour, yeasty, malty and sourish with some citric notes. Malty and yeasty flavor with some spices and quite sour. Me like...

Deep, dark golden colour with fluffy head. The look of saisons is often beauitiful and this is no exception. Aroma is laid back but somewhat complex. Rich malty, with notes of marzipan, subtle peppery alcohol, fruits and spices. The mouthfeel is pretty smooth with not that high carbonation. It’s slightly sweet malty, yet with a woody, dry-ish mouthfeel and peppery alcohol shines through along with those spices/herbs that are so typical for the style. I prefer my Saison to be a bit lower in alcohol, here is a blend of Blonde Belgian Strong Ale and Saison. A Super Saison perhaps? Subject of ageing it is for sure!

750ml bottle poured a hazy gold with a large, lasting white head. Aromas of apple, pineapple, yeast and a hint of spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of light fruit and a hint of spice with a dry, bittersweet finish.
