Bottle shared with GregClow, tupalev & jerc -- courtesy of tupalev. Pours a dark murky yellow with a big white head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma of citrus, yeast, hay and spices. The taste is wheaty, floral and mildly spicy. This is a typical Belgian in my opinion, it’s good but not really my thing.

750 mL bottle purchased at Liquor Max in Loveland, CO. Pours hazy dark yellow with an average, frothy, white head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, hay, straw), average hops (herbs, grass), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard, earth) with notes of grape, pepper, and wine. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Thanks to egajdzis. Pours a light hazy golden with a large foamy off white head that laced nicely. Aroma was lemon, yeast, grassy, light alcohol and vanilla. Flavor was spicy, peppery, yeasty and dry.

Aroma: Peach, barnyard, Belgian yeast, citrus. Flaovur: More of the same. Sweet and sour, stable, overripe fruit. Pearlsy carboantion, loud pop from the cork, but no gusher.

2002 750 ml bottle. Pours light tangerine with a lasting fluffy head. Nice tart, earthy aromas abound. Taste is crisp and refreshing with pepper, earth, leather and tart. Smooth and light, this stuff masks the 9.5% real well. Addictive.

Corked and caged bottle. Corked marked 2005. Poured a large white frothy head that was mostly lasting, cloudy and a pale yellow with a little orange peeking through for the hue. Sweet citrus, tart and spicy note for the aroma. Flavor was sweet, dry, citrus, and spicy. Nicely done. Tingly, dry mouthfeel. Light-medium body. Nicely done and worthy of a try.

Pours a golden blond with a strong fluffy white head. The nose is sweet and earthy. There is malt, candy sugar, musty basement and moldy rag in the nose. Absolutely wonderful taste! More malt, some barnyard notes, wheat and yeast, flowers, light spice and many more that I can't describe. Complex and bountiful taste. It finishes with a light bitterness and definite spice. Awesome beer!

Bottle. Orangey blonde beer with a strong bubbly head. The aroma is lightly fruity and spiced and the flavour vinous and lightly spiced, but not as strong as the alcohol percentage suggests. Overall a really great beer.
