Bottle. Pours a lovely pale hazy golden with a towering lively white head. Initial aromas straight out of the pour are quite geuze-ish, very funky with notes of cheese and vinegar and musty yeast. After this beer catches its breath, more nuanced aromas of horseblanket, straw, citrus peel, and wood appear. Lively mouthfeel, citric, tart, and spicy, with a dry leathery finish that has an herbal quality as well. complex and chameleon-like in that it seemed to evolve each time I topped up my glass.

Van t’vat, Erasmus, Brugge. Orange haze draped with lace. Fat, yeasty, tropical fruit-accented aroma with a hint of banana. Chewy citrus, earthy rind, and banana esteriness. Intense hop bitterness to finish. Impressively hoppy, full-flavoured strong ale.

Tried this last night @ Bier Stein - As Mr. Burns would say, Excellent...This is quite a badass Saison. Pours golden and grainey, with a monstrous white cloud like rocky head. Wonderfully citric and tart in the nose, this is like smelling a new leather wallet, mixed with lots of dry fruit and other assorted yeasty characteristics. Flavor is nicely spicy and herbal, this would be wonderful when used with a food pairing. Crisp and tart, with alot of citrus and corriander, lots of fresh grassiness and horse saddle sourness and again with the dried fruits. A treasure!

Cloudy yellow, big loose white head. Very herbal aroma - sage, smoky, a bit of white wine, as well. Flavor is a nicely balanced mix of dryish herbal flavors and a slick, sweet, even slightly boozy finish. Dries out a lot as it warms. Nice, well made brew. On tap, Thirsty Monk Asheville.

This is a really tough one to read. On the aroma I had that burst of what might be called "cheesiness" that others describe, but at the same time, I couldn't help but wondering...is this skunked? I would have a hard time believing that. Nice pour, big white head, creamy, reflected in the palate, which was excellent of creaminess and zestiness. The flavor was better than the aroma, containing hints of spice, fruit, and yeast. Good beer, but somewhat disconcerting.

Draft at Seattle International Beer Fest; Nose of cinnamon, nutmeg, and light hoppiness; hazy gold with a small off-white head; flavor of slight hop bitterness and Belgian spices.

Draught: Medium sweet aroma. Smells of yeast, lemon, light spice, and blue cheese. Poured yellow in color with a tiny white head that diminished immediately. Tasted of alcohol, bubblegum, and lemon. Slight flavor. Light to medium body. Smooth texture. Soft carbonation. Light lemon and alcohol finish. A nice Saison. Easy drinking. Very warming.

Ah what a nice bottle. Soft, effervescent mouthfeel is delightful. Big, hoppy and dry. Tastes better and better with every sip and proves itself as an exceptional brew.
