The appearance is deep gold with a slight orange hue. The flavor is like the aroma with an astringent bitter finish. The palate is OK but a tad thin. This is interesting but not something I would want to drink regularly. notalush (2693), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 24, 2008 Effervescent, hazy straw beer, with a soapy, well-sustained head - somewhat musty, earthy aroma, with apparent pils malt, light hop spiciness, some citrus tanginess - quite peppery, grassy, and herbal up front, followed by a relatively high sweetness for the style - this is followed by some herbal, tea-like character, and then some white pepper - the alcohol is completely masked - finishes with honey and wildflowers (lavender) - more like a spicy trippel due to its sweetness, but still pretty nice. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 12, 2006 75 cl bottle. Cloudy yellow colour with a large fluffy head. Aroma of tropical fruit, yeast and some sweet sourness. Flavour of yeast, malt, wheat, fruit, some sourness and very noteable alcohol, but still fresh because of the high carbonation and very drinkable. Svesse (2685), Hässelby, Sweden

Fruity, spicy nose with lemon, Seville orange and a hint of clove. Fruity, spicy taste with clove, Seville orange and lots of spicy hops in the long finish. Fairly dry, with alcohol well hidden. Warming stuff with that unmistakable earthy, spicy Dupont character that is so hard to resist. Brilliant. puzzl (2660), New York, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Apr 18, 2006 Very dry, yeasty, slighly fruity. Extremely pale pour, with no noticable alcohol. Relaxed palate, slightly creamy, very drinkable. Nice funkiness and barnyard in the taste. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 17, 2005 The beer disembarks the 750ml cork and caged green bottle a shining gold with a prodigious creamy bright white head that lingers for quite sometime, and the lace forms a thick and clinging blanket upon the glass. Nose has a tangy spiciness, over ripe fruit, seemed to be a mix of bananas and pineapples, crisp and clean, hints of clove also noticed, maybe even a bit of fusel alcohol, a complex one at any rate, start is sweet and the grain profile noticeable, the top is light to moderate in feel. Finish is caustic, hops are pleasantly spicy, vinous, devastatingly dry and the aftertaste welds itself to your palate, and the 9.5 percent ABV warmed my tummy noticeably, a great beer for a Sunday afternoon. downender (2643), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 9, 2007 Bottle from Hopduvel warehouse, Gent. A hazy gold colour with a strong, white head. Aromas of bitter hops and farmyards. Flavourwise, the alcohol really dominated - it almost burned. Not to my taste, I much prefer the weaker Dupont saison.
