| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 19, 2009 Bottle: The aroma consists of yeast, floral notes, and faint lemon tartness. It pours a cloudy orange with lots of sediment and a large white head with great retention that leaves behind some clumps of lacing. The flavor starts with some sweet citrus notes and yeast. There is a faint lemon tartness in the background. The finish is lightly spicy with a hint of pepper and grass. Medium bodied with moderate soft carbonation. downender (2587), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 9, 2007 Bottle from Hopduvel warehouse, Gent. A hazy gold colour with a strong, white head. Aromas of bitter hops and farmyards. Flavourwise, the alcohol really dominated - it almost burned. Not to my taste, I much prefer the weaker Dupont saison. ChainGangGuy (2563), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Appearance: Hazy, copper-hued body with an inch of off-white foam.
Smell: Aroma smelling of bright citrus, tangy wheat, spices, apple peelings, and a sweaty, floral hop character. I must say, the funkiness coursing through the nose is fairly restrained.
Taste: Union of citrus, orange peel, and grassy florals. Tart and reasonably bitter even at the start. Some malted wheat, apple, and even flecks of sweet toffee begin to emerge midway. Hint of alcohol, a thoughtful reminder of the 9.5% contained within. Sip of still mineral water. Never more than a mild funk component. Some honey and sour lemon arrives late. Light touches of funk and sourness on the dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Slight stickiness.
Drinkability: Displays tons of distinct flavors and subtle complexities, but for a winter seasonal, I find myself looking elsewhere and for a saison, well, I honestly prefer the standard Saison Dupont. But I certainly appreciate the "best wishes" from Brasserie Dupont (right back at’cha!). 1FastSTi (2560), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 25, 2006 Thanks John. The beer pours to a hazy straw colored body with lots of small particulate in suspension. Foamy white head. The aroma is very nice. Floral toasted malts, lemon grass, nicely delicate and aromatic. The flavor is spicy lemons, bananas, and yeast. Malty with floral hops. Lavendar I think. The palate is medium-bodied. Zesty. Quite delicious. Nate (2551), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

Floral and aromatic with light hops and orange blossom. Golden amber pale clear with thin off-white lacing head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Starts sweet with wheat and pilsner malt flavor. Light herbal-floral hops character and orange blossoms. Bready. Medium floral after with light chalky taste. Really nice saison. dwyerpg (2537), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 6, 2006 Updated: Jun 15, 2007First had at a festival where I probably had to much at the time of rating. Re-rate resulted in same score and similar comments. Very strong for a saison in the finish. The flavor is quite complex and spicy and certainly enjoyable stuff. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 18, 2005 Bottle shared with blankboy, tupalev & jerc - courtesy of tupalev. Hazy golden colour with a big, foamy head. Aroma of yeast, coriander, and a faint hint of barnyard. Flavour is very nice and refreshing - citrus, coriander, clove, and a great bit of peppery heat in the back of the throat. The finish is dry and nicely hopped as well, moreso than you might expect from a Belgian. Really great, it’s got me jonesing for the regular Saison Dupont that will be hitting the stores in Ontario soon...
