Some variability, with tartness and hay and musk independently this way or that. A spectacular presentation with an even silky foam and lace over a bright golden color. Uncorking brought out a wicked genie hydra part cow patty, part hay bale, part skunk. The aroma subsides to yield some fruit vinegar, curacao and more hay and acetic acid. The bitter is solid yet yielding to the alcohol spice. This is a challenging and delightful ass kicker at 9.5%! 40oz and I split a 750 -- we should have split ravidesai’s magnum.

On tap at Kulminator, Antwerpen. Pours hazy golden with a good looking bubbly head. Spicy and yeasty aroma. Malty aroma with citrus and spices. Refreshing but not as dry as expected.

Poofy, large white head, big bubbled, rocky and long lived, lacing is sticky. Orange/gold colored brew with a generous haze. Nose is delicately fruity, lemony with notes of marshmellows, mellons and yeast. Body is lightly medium, carbonation is initially agressive but settles to a softer more drinker friendly level as it warms. Doughy, yeasty flavors, lightly puckering, crab-appley notes with a touch of bubblegum and citrus, lightly grassy. Dry finish. A tough one. Was expecting a bit more drinkability from a dupont.

750ml Bottle Pours out a cloudy copper topped with a tall white head. Aroma of spice and citrus all over this one. Tast was more spice, belg yeast, and bread. Even a nice fruit on it. Man this thing was loaded with flavor. Very nice.

750 ml bottle from PhillyBeer2112 enjoyed at my Holiday Mini Tasting. Pour is hazy gold yellow with a 1/2 inch off white head. Aroma of very full yeastiness, hay and developed earthiness. Floral, honey, and melon notes as well. Really layered and fulling engaging nose. Taste of hay, beautiful layers of earthiness and a mild sweet caramel booziness to the finish. Loved this beer, though the booziness to the finish left it a bit short of perfect. Thanks for this one Dan.

Cloudy golden color with a medium head. Aroma has a nice spicy, farmhousey, citrusy, bready aroma that just screams "Good Saison". Flavor has a well balanced citrus/bread/yeast mix with lots of spicey-citrus taste. Pleasant finish. The only thing surprising is the sneaky ABV that comes from nowhere to bite your ass. Good stuff!

This one set me back a serious $9.75 here at my local Northcoast Coop. At this price you would expect this to be incredible. It was indeed excellent, and maybe even worth the price. Poured a rich gold color with some haze and with a big fat white head that rose up out ot the glass like a cauliflower. Rich nose of fruits like bananas and pineapple, along with apricot, spices, and hops as well. So many aromas words kind of fail me here. Very smooth mouthfeel. Flavors are rich and delightful. Slighty sour and bitter finish. Exceptional beer.
