750 ml bottle. Golden with a slight haze. High carbonation level. Tall white coarse head. Powdery malt aroma. Wheaty flavours. Distinct Belgian yeast characters. Spicy hops. High hop bitterness. Strong flavours that linger. Peppery bitterness in the finish.

750 ml bottle - 2007 vintage; thanks to beerlando for the trade; pours hazy, light orange with frothy white head; aromas of sour apples, bitter cloves, lemons; very wine-like; drink very, very dry with flavors of lemons, grapes and spice; lots of funk and more spicy than the other 3 during my night of saisons; like the level of funk; very nice

On tap at Toronado. A phenomenal saison. Excellent orangish golden appearance with a large white head and good retention and lacing. Yeast, spice, and fruity esters on the aroma. Flavor is yeasty with pale malt, light fruits, citrus, and spices. Smooth yet carbonated palate. Incredibly drinkable.

[Sampled at Carlsens, Odense in 2005.] Enormous aroma with lots of ingredients such as grapefruits and coriander. Very heavy flavor with dry spices and cereals. On tap in Belgium it must be like in heaven!

750 mL bottle, corked & caged (2002 labeled cork, sampled June 2005): clearing golden pineapple with a mostly full and slightly diminishing starchy white, tight bubbled foam. Tingly esters filled with honeycomb, rose petals, sweet pale malts, and slightly sour golden raisins. There is a light astringency from the hops, but it’s evened out by creamy green apple sweetness and vanilla yeast complexity. Fluffy and moist doughnut finish – spicy yeast and creamy, vanilla icing. Not quite as dry as I was expecting in the finish which works phenomenally well with the subtle fruitiness and the yeasty ester. Extraordinarily tasty. Wow.

Tap at the Blue Nile. Generously poured by Pigfoot. Thanks Al! Dry, dusty yeast with spices and orange zest. Perfume and soap. Quite aromatic. Pours hazy gold with a creamy white head. Very sweet malt initially on the palate balanced nicely by loads of dry and spicy yeast. Soft and creamy. Delicate with excellent carbonation. Finishes quite dry.

Golden colour. Fruity aroma. Spicy, bitter, fruity taste. Yeasty and malty. Very nice brew. Very smooth. Be sure to let it stand for some years.

Rated the standard saison mistakenly and probably drunkenly, so apologies for that...Golden apricot shaded brew, very cloudy in consistency. Aroma of pineapple, spice, and buttery chardonnay. I taste citrus, straw and wheat. Acidic mouthfeel. There’s much less to say about this beer than I anticipated or might like to offer, but I did enjoy it.
