Aroma is quite herbal and grassy with a soft earthiness and a bit of hop character. Very aromatic. Fresh wheay spiciness up front. In many ways it reminds me of Moneuse, but the herbal character doesn’t dominate here, as it does there. Well-balanced and quite tasty. MoritzF (5029), Bochum, Germany
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 15, 2008 (75cl bottle) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a massive, slightly off-white and persistent foamy head. Light-sweet, vinous-fruity (mandarins) nose, slightly wheaty with distinctive spicy and herbal hoppy notes. Light-bitter flavour, full bodied with an extremely well-matured and mellow carbonation. Yeasty, slightly wheaty and fruity taste with early arriving spicy herbal hops, lingering into the lasting moderately bitter finish. Superb brew (12.03.08). ¾ (5006), Oregon, USA

Flavor is moderately sharp and lightly acidic, with frothy hay and mild alcohol noticed. Festive, full, yeast and tripel-like at times, but certainly funky and well-aged. Great stuff.
