Aromas abound with sage chamomille and corriander as well as some mild horsey funk. The body is lush and CO2 filling. The flavors are a beautiful melding of spices, yeasty esters (cloves and bananas), crisp spicy hops, peppermint (yeah wierd, I know) and finishes really dry and beautifully bitter. This is quite simply a masterfully crafted beer and the finest "Super-Saison" I have had. Well worth the $$$ I paid. malrubius (1002), Valley Stream, New York, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jan 4, 2009 750 ml bottle in Duvel glass. Pale hazy orange with lasting white head and lace. Spicy lemon pastry aroma. Very fresh. Bready honey melon with strong spicy bittereness. Medium body (light for the abv) with effervescent carbo and nice mouthfeel. Very assertive, complex, refreshing, drinkable and strong. One the of the best beers, period. Big thanks to Stu at Shoreline Bev for the special order. Zeswaft (1000), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 7, 2006 I remember andrew making a big deal about this beer over thanksgiving and me not caring because he likes all of these stupid belgians like lambics and saisons. I had this on tap and i remember breaking it down, simply, like this: alcohol then candy sugar then bret funk then hops. If he can’t even get on board for this beer then I definitely can’t. Actually, it’s not as funky as i was expecting, which is the kind of crap he cherishes. I really only got this instead of another Braumeister harvest pils because i wanted to rub it in that i got this on tap. blank (998), Washington, Washington DC, USA

Aroma of grass, hops, banana, lemon, and some spices. Mouth is smooth and goes down easy. This really tastes great. Banana, yeast, spices, and slight biscuit maltiness. Some alcohol in the finish. Big fan of this beer. LordCorkscrew (982), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 15, 2005 Updated: Jan 4, 2008Minimal aroma, and only lightly carbonated with very little head. Aroma is slightly citrusy with a metallic cidery note. Taste is same, and finishes dry with some fruityness and a slight tannic presence. Perhaps this was from a faulty batch, but this product did not meet my expectations, although it improved my perception of its type.
