750ml. Bottle $9.99 Sam’s Downer’s Grove Cork reads "2006" Opened with a lot of "pop". Avec les Bons Voeux pours a beautiful slightly hazed golden that glows when held to the light. A big 3+ finger fluffy white head formed on the pour that receded to 2 fingers and became craggy and meringue like. Left thick drink lines. Very refreshing looking beer. When I popped the cork I took a quick smell and was immediately reminded of champagne. When in the glass this beer smells exceptionally polished. All notes go together so cleanly it’s difficult to pick them out. Mild floral aromas are present and mingle seamlessly with a faint haylike barnyard funkiness and candi sugar sweetness. Tart green apples come along too. Still shows champagne like qualities. This is the best saison I’ve ever expierenced by a long shot. Yes this beer is an expierence. Wonderfully done. Faint sugary sweetness along with a very mild funkiness go perfectly with the floral undertones. Green apple tartness gets in the mix as well. As this beer warms the green apple shows through more and more. Very refreshing. Light body with a solid amount of carbonation. Glides through the mouth very nicely. Leaves the tongue awakened. Finishes somewhat dry. I could, without a doubt, drink this beer all day long. Refreshing and light bodied. Very easy to drink. This is a world class beer and one of the best, most polished saisons I’ve ever had. Crisp and refreshing to the point of almost being too easy to drink, considering such a high abv. bottle from Bruisin’ Ales, Asheville Bar none the best Farmhouse I’ve had. Excellent with Spinning Spider (Madison County, NC) goat cheese -- chevre and goat gouda. I can’t say enough about the fine balance and quaffability of this one.

750ml bottle courtesy of me. Nice pop off the cork. Poured into a snifter. Muddy orange in color, big frosty white head. Aroma of yeast, spices and a earthy tone. Taste is a sweet, dry, touch of spices, yeasty and a little earthy. Funky sourness...9.5 percent really? Super smooth, perfect example of what a saison should taste like. Great beer.

750mL green glass cork-finish. Most recent release. Appearance: Poured into a tulip leads to 3 fingers of off-white creamy rich head. Hazy amber yellow with lots of streaming tiny bubbles. Nose: Rich and sudsy Belgian yeastiness. Some light spiciness. Some lemon juice too. Palate: Sharp and spicy right from the go. Tip of the tongue spicy. Lots of spicy yeastiness, mixed citrus and lots of general "fruitiness." Clean but creamy at the same time. Lots of layers of flavor here and a nice acidity balances things out right before the finish which is long. Notes: A great food beer! A perfect match for spinach, mushroom and cheese filled crepes!

as far as I’m concerned one of the best belgian beers hence one of the best beers in the world!

Bottle. Pours cloudy gold, with a thick white head and superior lacing. Nose is very rich, with brett in attendance, along with apples, toast, spice, and cream. Palate is rich and expressive and changes as the beer warms, showing plenty of winter fruits, along with black and white pepper, and very elegant and classy sourness. Utterly world class!
