Wild yeasty and oh so good. The nose is like being on the farm. Lots of horse blanket. The palate is yeasty and full in carbonation. Very good.

A work of art. Pours hazy orange with a fluffy white head. Aroma is of hay, citrus, a slight barnyard, vanilla, and a mild peppery spice. Flavor is same as the aroma but with the addition of a buttery cider and a mild banana ester. The palate is extremely creamy and smooth. The alcohol is not noticible except possibly as a warmth that makes the flavors brighter. Every time you take a sip you get a different layer of flavor. And all of the layers fit together perfectly. The best saison I have had to date.

(Rating #1023)

What a great beer. I can’t believe I waited so long to try this, and thanks to Joebrew for sharing. Powerful earthy aromas from the bottle before the beer is even poured. Grassy, herbal aroma; dirt and sediment, and some barnyard, although not as much of this as I expected. Flavor has considerable sweet malt. There is also lots of salt and some yeasty weirdness. This isn’t exceptionally complex like some saisons, but very well balanced. Although it is unusually high in alcohol for the style, it is completely hidden in the aroma and flavor. This beer also has a great appearance. Opaque gold and a tall Duvel-like head. Some sediment as well.

Bottle. This is a really good Saison. It pours a hazy light straw color with an abundant white head. It is spicy and complex, pretty big for the style, yet very refreshing. This style is becoming one of my favorites, no doubt due to this beer and the regular Saison Dupont.

(Bottle) Pours a cloudy yellow color with a beautiful frothy white head. Has a good complexity of malt, citrus, and spice. Very nice.

Bottle. Musty apple cider aroma. Hazy golden yellow color with an insanely giant head. Initially a slightly sweet apple cider followed by a musty, dry malt flavor. Dryness lingers nicely after swallowing. Premiere.

This one set me back a serious $9.75 here at my local Northcoast Coop. At this price you would expect this to be incredible. It was indeed excellent, and maybe even worth the price. Poured a rich gold color with some haze and with a big fat white head that rose up out ot the glass like a cauliflower. Rich nose of fruits like bananas and pineapple, along with apricot, spices, and hops as well. So many aromas words kind of fail me here. Very smooth mouthfeel. Flavors are rich and delightful. Slighty sour and bitter finish. Exceptional beer.
