750 ml bottle. God, I love this beer. I love the fact that it’s considered a saison, albeit a winter saison. Full bodied without being heavy or cloying, delicious in flavor and appearance. Straw color with a thick white foamy head. Alcohol content is well concealed. I would love to make this a daily drinker.

Tasted at Holiday Wine Cellar. Hazy amber with fluffy white head. Aroma strong barn yard funk and sweet malt. Tangy, bright palate. Taste if pear, orange, cloves, and spices. Very Good.

750ml 2007 edition bottle at Monk Cafe. Very much reminded me of La Fin Du Monde. Taste is great.. clove, orange, some ginger, and spice. Alcohol was there if you looked for it, but for the most part extremely well hidden. Awesome huey orange color. Vivacious carbonation. Went extremely well with food. Would highly recomend.

(bottle, 2007) Pours orange with a large, fluffy white head that lasts. The aroma has orange peel, coriander, banana, the typical Dupont must, pepper, and bread. There’s also a toasty note that couples well with the must. The taste is lightly sweet, with flavors of peaches, caramel, and a tart note of apple skin. After these initial sweet flavors, the taste completely changes to spice and citrus. There’s a finish of orange peel, coriander, and a lingering bitter note as well. The high alcohol never intrudes in both aroma or flavor. The mouthfeel is fuller than most saisons, but it is a welcome change of pace, and I can only see this getting better with age.

bottle Pours a hazy yellow with a huge white head. Good head retention. Notes of lemon, earth, dust, funk, cheese, dough, pear. Complex. Awesome beer. neat stuff. A big bodied world class saison.

I screwed up and accidentally updated a Vieille Provision score with my score for this beer. This was an awesome beer. Poured a hazy yellow color with a thick, dense white head that left some spotty lacing. Aroma of some moderate citrus (orange peel, light lemon), lightly funky barnyard yeast, some soft spices, and a bit of floral hops. Flavor consists of a lightly tart, smooth entry with some hints of wheat and undertones of citrus and a moderate yeasty funk smoothing out into a moderately spicy finish with some undertones of soft fruit and a dry yeastiness. Crisp and dry on the palate, a real treat to drink. Awesome.

Had on tap. Really nice seasonal ale. Pours golden red. Intense floral aroma of yeast, light fruits, and aromatic hops. Has a good deal of funk, but that only serves to complement the other flavors. has a great spicy funky, bready quality to it. Very smooth. Nice finish, An excellent farmhouse ale.

Bright hazy light orange with lovely bubbly white head. Nose is dough, yeast, slight woody sour notes, and some bitter citrus and white pepper. A little musty/dusty in a good way. Crisp, spicy finish. Lovely, lovely saison.
