Flavors of citrus and bread with some light malts and mild alcohol finish. A great saison. galdee (8), Italy does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Only had a little of this one at a beer tasting event but really enjoyed it. Its well balanced full of interesting flavours and smells considering no spices are added. And you don’t taste the alcohol but you definitely feel it when you stand up. It was beautiful in the glass, leaving an appropriate amount of yeast cloudiness. Very well pronounced alcohol kick, though overall I felt that this beer was just slightly bland for the style. Some Bernie Worrell understated funk appears amidst typical Dupont yeast feast. Spicy, dry, slightly acidic. A fun take on saison, brining Dupont and Pipaix closer together. Good Belgian body, dry malt, spices, lemon peel, upcoming strong bitterness. Very different, but good anyway.
