The aroma has smooth nectar fruits (mainly nectarines) and light spice. The aroma is subdued compared to many saisons, but what is there is great. Medium body that starts off smooth and finish grainy and crisp with minor carbonation. The flavor starts off with citric and nectar fruits that have a richness, but are somehow dry as well. There is also a grainy spice and it has some abv showing through. The finish is quite peppery. This is an interesting and enjoyable saison. It does not seem as complex as most and the palate is smoother than expected for a saison. SETANTA (581), Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 7, 2008 2005 bottle. pours a clear gold until the yeast bomb drops. it’s topped with a wispy white head that sticks a little to the glass. this smells like the inside of a barn... straw, dried hay, light funk, lemon, a little yeast and pepper. the palate starts lightly caramel sweet and yeasty then gets dry and bitter. dried spices/herbs, pepper, a little funk, lemon and a bit of alcohol on the finish. yeasty fruity aftertaste. there’s something very candy like in the flavor which puts me off... a bit too sweet. (i’ll give the remaining bottles a few years to fix and this will be stellar) medium bodied with a soft mouth feel and prickly carbonation... BMan1113VR (2946), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA

Aroma is funky with some misc. spices, peppery and light fruit. Taste is nice and dry, fruity with a touch of clove, honey and funk. A classic saison squared! Very lively bubbles and dry mouthfeel. Very drinkable and the alcohol is well concealed. Defreni (1047), Frederiksberg, Denmark
