Pros: Blown Away. Only Dupont could pack this much flavor and aromas in a 3.5% beer. Gorgeous rocky head. Very pure, natural and Belgian. I really need more of this. This is like a workout beer.

Dec 24, 2009 Pours an almost clear golden color with a small white head that quickly settles down. There are a few small floating yeast particles. Aroma is spicy and hoppy, with citrus and pepper. Flavor is slightly watery, but also a little bitter and slightly yeasty. Creamy texture and decent carbonation. No real mentionable finish.

Dec 17, 2009 Bottle. Pours a straw golden body with a large frothy white head. Wheat, citrus notes, herbal dust y earth y tones. Bread y yeast character light citrus, and a drying floral finish.

Nov 29, 2009 Pours a clear bright yellow, nice lasting head. Aroma is bread and lemon. Flavor is bread, lemon, and some white pepper on the finish. Refreshing, nice subtle notes here. Really enjoyed it.

Nov 23, 2009 Really tasty...straw colored pour with a hint of honey and a solid ivory head that left an ample amount of sticky lacing. Aroma is tart and lemon-filled. Quite sour although citrus and earth enter the picture as well. Flavor fills the palate and requires a bit of a pucker but then allows for the tongue to notice the bright citrus and grapefruit rind. Quite earthy like chewing on turf. Medium mouthfeel. Yum.

Nov 14, 2009 Bottle - 750mL corked and caged. Cork shows 2008. So, how does a 3.5% table beer hold up after a years worth of age in a green bottle? Let’s see. Straw yellow pour with a tall, sticky, foamy white head. Aroma is big wheat notes, strong yeast, light lemon, tart fruit and grassy/herbal notes. Taste is also big yeast with light lemony tartness, some funk, earthy notes, grassy hops, flowers, bready malts, and dusty notes. Body is light, very bubbly but chalky in spots. Unfortunately, it detracts a bit. The finish takes the big yeast and wheat flavors an shouts them to the rafters. There’s more of the lemony tartness and grassy hops. The funk and dustiness come through here a bit more as well. Well made but not very complex. Very drinkable nonetheless and perfect for cheeses and bread and maybe deli meats.

Nov 14, 2009 Almost on the border of Saison and a lager. Light yellow and hazy. Some bread/yeast notes. A light Belgian golden that is easy to drink.

Oct 21, 2009 on tap at The Brick Store as Dupont Avril on 10/17/09... pours a golden color with a nice white head... slight funky nose... medium body, soft overall... citrus notes throughout... with a touch of spice. really nice low alcohol Saison... very drinkable.
