Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, fruity, berry notes, alcohol notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is flat. (070808) gary07734 (210), Tyne & Wear, England Oct 8, 2008 Pours quite thick copper colour, decent head, smell is quite fruity, clear alcohol. Taste is slightly fruity, a little sweet and metallic, strong alcohol finish, a bit cloying for a 9% beer. Not as good as some other Durham beers mainly due to the over strong alcohol finish. Bragesnak (1456), Aarhus, Denmark Sep 7, 2008 Thorups, Aarhus, DK.
Bottled, 060908.
