Simple but effective aromas of sweet orange, a bit of pine, and a somewhat grassy hop element. More specifically orangey hop character, along with notes of pale malts, toasted nuts, and a bit of munich malt. Solid bitterness. An above average IPA as far as Canadian microbrewery versions go, but probably would be better classified as an APA. chicagodri (1041), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 22, 2008 In short: A glass of citrusy hop juice. Simple but highly drinkable and highly refreshing
How: Tap at BeerBistro, Toronto
The look: Clear copper body topped by a very small off-white head.
In long: Hoppy nose as expected on the citrusy side of American hops. Taste is citrusy hops wall to wall with some pine-cone juice here and there. Inexpressive malts that provide an adequate body without contributing much to the flavour spectrum. Very juicy and refreshing beer. Smooth carbonation. Sharp bitterness of medium intensity. Couldn’t resist ordering it when I was that pump handle and was rather disappointed to get it in a pint that had to be orally ingested. Teaser. matt7215 (962), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 22, 2008 Points for one of the most original tap handles in Toronto. Tap at Smokeless Joe, with many on previous dates at Volo also, September 2008. Nice amber colour, almost no head dies down to none. Wood aromas are faint: aromas in general are faint (citrus, orange, grapefruit). I taste apricot, grassiness, lots of bitterness. I would like to find more fruit etc..hidden in the hops, with the bitter kick. Oakes (8082), gone rambling, Vietnam

Woody palate is moderately bitter with slight caramel, toffee, and hints of brown sugar. Beershine (2710), Where Climate Suits My Clothes, Vietnam
