On tap at Smokeless Joe’s, Toronto. Deep gold, bordering on brown; zero head retention. Woody hop-forward aroma packs a good punch, seconded by accents of malt, caramel and berry fruit. Wonderful big-hop flavour provides full-on bitterness throughout, with a nice fruity blackberry infusion and smooth caramel ice cream palate. An excellent big-flavoured beer that has enough complexity to be more than a one-riff wonder.

again nice amber orange colour, First time i had it it was amazing, wonderful hop aroma, nice citrus flavour and some maltiness, but as it has evolved it has lost its nice citrus aroma and tends to be more bitter and malty, hope it goes back to the original recipe.

Smells sweet and soap/perfume-like. Odd. Minimal white head. Pale colour. Hoppy (as one would expect). Slightly bitter aftertaste. Generally not very appealing.

[224-20060304] Tap @ Volo (Toronto, ON). Hoppy lemon citrus aroma. Clear, light orange red body with some small centralized bubbles and a medium-lasting off-white creamy head. Taste has a very bitter hoppy bite with lemon and light astringency. Medium palate, fairly bitter after. Blending is OK but not fond of afterbite. (7/3/6/3/13) 3.2

[720B-20070928] Tap @ C’est What 2007 FOSB (Toronto, ON). Apricot wheat fruit aroma has funky yeast. Slightly hazy, orange amber body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Alcoholic fruit wheat yeast flavour, some grapefruit hops. Medium body, very bitter. Nice bitterness, weird yeast qualities. (6/3/7/3/13) 3.2

on tap at volo--- pours golden red copper color with pinky sized white head. Smells piney hops, some fruits long lasting bitter flavor relatively smooth,, starts piney with a touch of citrus and bitter flavor sets in very well balanced, and very nice lacing.

I’m a big fan of hops, but not insane hops, and this is right up my alley. Beautiful aroma of citrus, and hops. nice bitterness, but not too much bitterness, just enough to keep you comming back for more. I often have this at the Beer Bistro during my lunch! awesome stuff! Hey Durham, BOTTLE THIS!!!

On tap at the Victory Cafe - came a clear copper colour with a foamy head that was gone pretty quickly. Aroma very nice, citrus hoppiness with a good amount of malt, also I picked up a touch of yeast/bread. Flavour mainly hoppy, grapefruit and lemon, but with some earthiness or woodiness along with a refreshing bitterness in the finish that was very pleasant and balancing - many of the brewery’s beers have this similar taste and it is something that I really enjoy. Great character in this one, and a solid local IPA. Bottle it. Update - tried this again tonight and realized this is one of the best IPAs on offer in Ontario right now. If they bottled this, it would have a general listing in my fridge.
