Jul 15, 2007 Pint at volo. Orange/copper colour with a thick off white head. Aromas of floral hops, grapefruit and some malt. A hoppy citrus taste with notes of caramel. Smooth tasting with a nice bitter finish. A good local IPA.

Sep 18, 2008 Draught @ Victory. Amber, not much head. Nutty malt, some perfume. Light quaffable mouthfeel. Dry. GREAT hops. Fruity, lingering aftertaste. Good IPA.

Sep 4, 2007 On tap at Volo. Coppery color with hoppy aroma. Bitter predominates, but doesn’y overpower the other taste elements, which include malt and citrus.

Aug 16, 2008 Draft at Smokeless Joes in Toronto. Poured orange with an off white head. Sweet and hopppy aroma with orange and caramel. Flavor is like hop juice, citric and floral. Just enough malt is there to balance. Nice, very drinkable and thirst quenching.

Aug 25, 2009 On tap at Beer Bistro (Toronto, ON). Pours a clear dark amber with one finger white head. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of pine, grapefruit, honey, light caramel, some floral esters. Flavor is sweet and floral with notes of grapefruit, light citrus, pine, caramel, honey, light spice. Generally medium body with a pleasing hoppy finish.

Jun 27, 2009 On tap. Quite dark appearance, although not the darkest IPA I’ve seen (that honour goes to Mike Duggan IPA) and very hoppy. Hop addict doesn’t joke around with it’s name. Sadly, it’s slightly unbalanced, malt is not a forbidden fruit in an IPA!

Aroma of piney, citrus hops, with some malt too. Light copper, small custard head. Taste starts off very hoppy, a fine malty backbone soon presents itself. Medium bodied, well balanced between the sweet malt and it’s appreciated bitterness. Really fine example. Kudos to Ralph for inspiring the brewer!
