fiulijn (5695), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Mar 18, 2008 Hazy golden color; big frothy head, persistent. Dubious aroma, with paper, wet soil, country fields and grass, glue; then grassy hops. Medium body strength, but quite dry mouthfeel; it has a dry toffee flavor that along with the strong bitterness creates the effect of liquorice, mainly at the end. Strongly hopped, but not impressive.
weaselkenievil (282), Cheshire, England Jul 7, 2008 Bottle. Light amber/gold with a white fluffy head. Really enjoyed this. Fresh, hoppy with a bitter finish. Good work. gary07734 (99), Tyne & Wear, England May 14, 2008 0.5l Bottle. Nice head pour which lasts well. Pleasant golden colour with a strong hoppy taste.
Nice fairly bitter finish, not bad at all. saxo (2059), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Feb 29, 2008 Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are malt and lots of hops. Good long bitter finish. Fin (2005), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Jan 31, 2008 Bottle picked up at Londis, Goring, Oxon, had this 27-01-08 Pours light golden with some haze topped off with a big white bubbly head. Great hop profile on the nose. Tasted fruity and hoppy with a streaky honey sweetness, quite floral also. Tasted great, Durham seem to consistently knock out some cracking beers.
