| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 25, 2009 Bottle at Take One, Maastricht. Clear gold-straw with a huge fluffy head. Nose is sweet and a little sparkly with fruity tones, and some cinnamon. Mouth is lower in flavour than expected, with lemony hops, clean and dry. A little bit sweet on the way down, but with a lasting bitterness at the end. Not the best Duvel, but quite acceptable. kappldav123 (1893), Markkleeberg, Germany
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 5, 2009 The bottle looks good, but it’s not easy to find out, that it’s an other than the normal Duvel. The beer in the glass very zippy, but nasty foam. Starts mild, modest hoppy, finish a bit stronger. Nothing special! Dredd (496), Ormond, Australia

Clear golden poor with a frothy white head... very lager like. Aromas of corn, lemon, herbal and unripenned bananas. Very hoppy feel, good bitterness. Flavors are of llemon and pepper. Very dry finish and long lasting bitterness. Poudery mouthfeel, lightly bodied. Good summer beer, but very dissapointing.

Immediately lighter than its bigger brother, but there is the hoppy bite along with a slightly medicinal herby flavour, pleasant, with a background lemony note. Decent enough.
