| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 15, 2007 Bottle courtesy of and shared with ozujsko (thanks!) Poured a medium sized white head that went away really slow on top of a golden body with lively carbonation running through it. The nose is pungent, cloves, lemon-lime and honey and a bit yeasty. Quite nice. The taste is a bit of a letdown after that, but it’s still nice enough and drinkable. A nice maltiness, alcohol, very dry, some hops in the aftertaste. Way better than most Duvel clones and almost as good as its big brother. mtoast (294), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a very clear light gold with signature Duvel head, retention and lacing are nowhere near as classic as the original. Aroma on the other hand is very enjoyable, dry crisp and slightly spicy, very hop forward. Flavor is very dry, just a hint of pils malt and some yeast notes, lots of grassy and earthy hoppiness. bu11zeye (5470), Frisco, Texas, USA

Nose-smells like a clean macro with lots of adjuncts. Taste-stinging CO2, medium clean hops, good hop profile, gritty, tastes like an imperial macro, grainy.
