Bottle courtesy of and shared with ozujsko (thanks!)
Poured a medium sized white head that went away really slow on top of a golden body with lively carbonation running through it. The nose is pungent, cloves, lemon-lime and honey and a bit yeasty. Quite nice. The taste is a bit of a letdown after that, but it’s still nice enough and drinkable. A nice maltiness, alcohol, very dry, some hops in the aftertaste. Way better than most Duvel clones and almost as good as its big brother.

25cL bottle, consumed on 9/15/06 at Gambrinus in Brugges. Pours a very clear light gold with signature Duvel head, retention and lacing are nowhere near as classic as the original. Aroma on the other hand is very enjoyable, dry crisp and slightly spicy, very hop forward. Flavor is very dry, just a hint of pils malt and some yeast notes, lots of grassy and earthy hoppiness.

(Bottle) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of mustiness, lemon zest, corn grain, and a hint of coriander. Flavor of spicy yeast, grapefruit peel, and light pear with a bitter finish. Rather bland after being filtered...

Bottle. Body-ultra clear light yellow with a thin film of bubbles. Looks like a light beer. Nose-smells like a clean macro with lots of adjuncts. Taste-stinging CO2, medium clean hops, good hop profile, gritty, tastes like an imperial macro, grainy.

250ml bottle, bright yellow color, with a fluffy white head, leaving laces, yeasty, flowery hop nose, with a fruity, sour green apple note, some sweet pale malts and a faint citrusy aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, spritzy, citrusy character, with a spicy floral hop accent, with a subtle vanilla note, with some fruity flavors of green apple. with a faint honeyed pale malt, leading towards an alcoholic, dry, hoppy finish.
