Big clumps of lacing. Very light aroma of doughy bread, light fruits and yeast. Taste is what the nose promises, don’t pick up the alcohol, drinkable but doesn’t do a lot for me.

Belgian nose of peppery spice, clove, lemon and gooseberry fruit. Soft and dusty with impression of spice (coriander). Slick creamy m/f, some cherryish alcohol notes and heat, vanilla pale malt creaminess. Straw with a fine snowy collar collapsing to a yeast- speckled lid. Oh yes. Slightly cloudy light gold, smallish white head. Grassy, sweet, slightly stale aroma. Taste follows - herbal, papery, cloying. Sticky, flat mouthfeel, somewhat weedy - a little old, but not bad. bonfunck (149), Waasmunster, Belgium

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 25, 2008 A golden ale with a thick lacing white head. A sweet flowery aroma with light curacao, coriander, very pleasant. In mouth, a softer version of Duvel, with light sweet caramel, some orange rinds, and light hopping. Medium bodied. Bottle from Drankencentrale de Hopduvel, 0.61 euro. Tasted Nov. 2006. Straling (195), Heerlen, Netherlands

Pours an almost colourless colour with a good size ’’duvel’’ head.
Aroma is the same as the normal Duvel, hops and spices giving it a pleasant smell to it.
Taste is clean, also hoppy and spicy, but less than the actual Duvel, very nice and simple beer with good balance to it. Stefano (1344), Esbjerg, Denmark

Aroma is light and hoppy. Hoppy and sweet taste. Had it after de Ranke XX and my tastebuds were totally spoilt, so maybe I a little too hard.
