Yellow color, brilliant shine and huge white head. Dry aroma’s of lemon skin-oil and fresh grass pills malts and dry cookies. Smooth taste and touch of sweet alcohol. Grassy bitterness of hops, dry butter cookies, malts and some herbal greenness. Smooth blond beer with a dry finish of fresh herbs.

Maybe this bottle was bad, but I didn’t have a good experience with this one. Bitter and tart beer. It smells like a pilsner of Budweiser qualtiy - corn and rice. This beer is not a good representation of a BSA, and it is terribly light.

Clear gold beer with a small head. The aroma shows yeast and tons of coriander. The flavour shows more compolexity than the aroma. It contains some grape-flavour with a good balanced, moderated carbonation, a little citrus and a big amount of hop. The aftertaste is dry and hoppy.

Light hazy golden coloured body with a nice frothy white head. Aroma of hops, yeast, wheat, honey and even curacao noticeable. Light to Medium-bodied; Sharp malty flavour up front makes way to hops and yeast right behind. Aftertaste is crisp & clean - refined even. Some leftover hops and yeast noticeable but hte ever-present honey is great! Overall, perfect to sample, especially by drinking this in public on the streets! I sampled this 25 cL bottle purchased at Beer Mania in Bruxelles, Belgium on 29-December-2007.

Bottle from Kris Wines. I had this ages ago @ a pub in Covent Garden, that was having a Belgian Fest, as I remember Mes telling me the push bike story and how he couldn’t believe they had it there. It brings back fond memories of my friend Justin’s visit at the time...
Ok, the beer...Clear, pale gold with a slightly less dense Duvel head, none the less lasting and it leaves a nice lace. Sweet nose of coriander, orange and cream with some hops, yeast and pepper to boot. Creamy on the palate without that fierce Duvel alcohol bite, I like it. Once again oranges and cream with bitter hops in the end. As per the convo Mes, Phil and I had at Erasmus, I’m growing tired of all these samey Belgian Ales that I once loved in the beginning. This is a fair amount of the flavour of normal Duvel with much more drinkability, agreed it’s slightly more subtle but it’s nicely done, it’s a decent trade off imo. I’d drink this over regular Duvel given the chance nowdays...

Clear yellow of color with a cloudy white head. An aroma with weak sweets notes, spice and dry notes. A flavor with hops, spice and dry notes.
