| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Dec 24, 2007 This beer is nearly perfect. I am unsure why it only gets a 64%. Maybe because it’s not rare enough and made by monks. Because that’s how people rate beer. They rate it on either how many hops they cram into the keg or how difficult it is to find. I can piss in a bottle and export it from Sweden and people here would stab each other in the face to get a bottle. Anyway, if you love Duvel, as I do, but want to last a little longer before you get retarded, then this is your beer. Sadly, the dozen or so I brought back from Belgium are gone and I’ll have to pester Ebert The Great to send me some more. 64%.... you gotta be shitting me. Ughsmash (4095), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 17, 2007 25cL bottle, BB 08/07, dragged back from Belgium! Poured clear medium golden with about 1" of creamy white head. The aroma picked up spicy lemon zest, bready notes, and banana-ey yeast.. I really dug it! Brighter lemony tartness tingles the tip of the tongue, and sticks with the drink the whole way down.. bready pils-ish malts at the core along with dusy banana and peppery yeast.. tangy lemon and peppery finish. Medium-bodied, spicy, and refreshing on the palate.. decent transitions, and a bit tacky right at the finish. This was really a solid brew! Naven (883), Poway, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 3, 2007 Bottle from Bartzilla, who brought this back on his recent trip of debauchery in Belgium. Thanks for sharing this rare treat. From what I understand, this is a lighter, sessionable Duvel. It was definitely an easy drinker. Light, hoppy with lots of that typical delicious Belgian yeast going on. Pretty good. Surprised at the low scores. Beltramelli (471), Campinas, Brazil
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 29, 2007 É uma Duvel, não tenha dúvida, ainda mais por causa do creme clássico, dendo e consistente, quase um mousse. Mas no paladar é aguada e fraca. Não é turva como a Duvel "normal". O malte sobressai levemente. Jerre (1768), Waregem, Belgium

Tasted yesterday, again after years.
Aroma bit sour, hops. Medium body. Taste hops, fruity, and yeast with a spicy finish.
Drinkable.
