Commercial Description:
Unique one-off, made with three kinds of hops: Styrian Goldings, Saaz and Amarillo. Dry hopped with more Styrian, and an extra dose of malts to hold up.

My Bottom Line:
This spicy, piney and citrusy hop cologne evolves into a majestic, lively sipper with its crunchy hay and ebullient carbonation. One cannot help but feel festive after a glass of this iconoclastic Duvel incarnation.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A dense head of foam protects the hazy straw blond.
-Fantastic hoppiness thrives throughout while never downplaying the crisp hay-like malts.
-Body is lean and quite bubbly; this has quite the champenoise beer texture which takes it into the Malheur Brut and Deus family instead of the Chouffe Houblon’s.
-That spicy hoppiness is very complex and perfumy while never getting on one’s nerves. It knows when to subside, letting dryness and malts make you desire a subsequent, even greater gulp.

Bottle; thx Sylvain!!.

In short: A bubbly crisp ultra-hoppy Strong Belgian blonde ale. Excellent.
How: Bottle 750ml. Consumed some 6 months after the beer release. Sample at Cathschlag birthday party tasting.
The look: Cloudy blonde body topped by a large and long-lasting white head
In long: Unltra hoppy nose of meringue reminding me of Chouffe Houblon. Taste is crisp and dry. Crusty lemon pie with a 2 inch meringue top. Very bubbly. Dry finish. Alcohol a little apparent. I don’t have many notes on this one except that I wrote that it is between a Malheur Bière Brut and a Chouffe Houblon without being as great either of these two... and they’re having a threesome and then a Dark Lord walks in and says: Want something big and black?

Wow Wow wow, so happy to have had this. Chris of Ebenezer’s broke this bad boy out of his personal cellar for me, my girflriend and some other beer geeks from BA. Pours yellow with a bright white 1 finger head. Nose hoppy and really great. Taste is hoppy and spicy and killer, wow what a combo of duvel and hops into a great new beer.

Bottle. Damn, this looks good - in both box and bottle (even better outside it).
Pours a super beautiful golden with a gigantic, creamy, white head. Brilliant lacing and a looooong duration. Beautiful. Aroma is very hoppy, grass, viniousness, light yeast, apples and grapes. Low carbonation, leaving plenty of mouthfeel for the expanded hops note. Very creamy mouthfeel. Stunning flavour, lightly tart, oranges, apples. Good viniousness and a great, grassy hoppiness. Some sweetness and grape/white wine notes. Wow!

Bottle, thanks to larsniclas. Yellow color, nice white head. Floral aroma, hoppy, some marcipan and perfume, mailky and a bit fruity. Hoppy, fruity, floral, citric and spicy flavor. Grapefruit notes and with some soap. Nice bitter finish.
