Pours straw pale with a huge white fluffy head which leaves excellent lacing. The head lasts until the final sip. Aroma is herbal and fruity with a refreshing yeast note in background. Spicy yeastiness and apples in flavor. Dry bitter finish with a slightly sour aftertaste.

Bottle. Nice and strong. Aromas of yeast, apple, and honey. Flavour is sweet, with bitter notes, and good length. Creamy palate, medium-full body. Yellow colour, and a frothy persistent head.

Pours very pale gold, large white head. Just hazy. Lemon pudding nose. Heaps of zest and ginger/ white pepper/ coriander seed/ clove/ juniper/ cumin aromas. Some wood and yeast too. It tastes light and fruity although it starts to feel heavier as you drink. The alcohol is pretty well hidden. I’m pretty sure serving it cold and pouring slowly (as advised on the bottle) helped the mouthfeel - I’ve had it before and found the residual carbonation excessive. Finish is a little sour and vaguely medicinal.

Bottled 0.33L. Pale large head. Mild yesty nose with some hints of apple. Pale golden colour. Soft slightly sour taste. Some hints of lemon and spices. At the end average hoppiness. More fullfillness by adding the sediment. Warming alcohol well hidden.

Best by 11/2012, so I’m guessing bottled in 11/2007. Beautiful golden color with a huge head. Toasty aromatics on the light nose. Balanced palate that goes down incredibly smooth. Like a less bitter and higher alcohol Stella Artois. Very nice.

11.2 oz bottle served in a Duvel glass. Pours a hazy light yellow color with a huge very long lasting white head. It has a very clean aroma of hops. It tastes wonderful. It has a definite creamy quality and tastes a bit of hay and citrus. This beer is truly great. I look forward to drinking this again.

Dense white foamy head (pour VERY carefully; even a perfect pour can backfire on you with this beer). Cloudy but paradoxically iridescent gold brew. Tart apple nose and attack, hint of nut; delightful fresh yeast. Musky hop finish reminiscent of quality cognac. Delightfully clean and consistent taste that finishes much as it began. Alcoholic punch is not immediately obvious. One of the best beers I’ve had the pleasure of drinking.
