This yellow bottled beer has an enormous fluffy head. The aromas and flavours seems very typically Belgian to this drinker more accustomed to British and American beers: slightly sour and spicy and quite fizzy on the tongue. It’s well made -- I can’t really fault it -- but I don’t think I’d seek it out.

Bottle @ home. This stuff is native to my fridge. Beautiful golden yellow colour, enormous thick and rocky white head. Aroma of yeast, some malts and fruits. Flavour is sharp/peppery, malty, bittersweet and when it warms up a bit sour. Long lasting alcohol finish with a little bitterness. Mouthfeel is soft though, making it highly drinkable. This one slaps you right in the face, be careful!

330mL Bottle. Strong yeasty and fruity aroma, almost like a homebrew. Slight cloudy and pale yellow beer. Strong white head thats long lasting. Smooth malty taste with a bit of spice, you can notice the high alc in the taste. Hits your fast at 8.5%. Very easy to drink, no strong hop/malt after taste, but very pleasant - very drinkable.

750ml bottle from John’s Grocery. Aroma: Very malty, hint of alcohol, spicy and intense, yeasty. Appearance: Looks exactly like the picture. Very pretty bright color, light and golden, almost like white grape juice. Huuuuge white head that literally takes up half a tulip glass. Head dissipates very slowly and extremely lacy. Flavor: Small amounts of hops. Lots of alcohol. Slightly bitter and very malty. Initially sweet and very strong finish. Palate: Smooth, light, lots of carbonation and alcohol. Overall: Good! Intense for an ale, but thats Belgium for you. Strong alcohol taste throughout the sip, but not in the aftertaste. Banana at end? Not quite a session beer, but I enjoyed it.
