Feb 24, 2005 A clear red beer with a nice orange head. The aroma is very spicy with notes of berries, lemon, and grass. The flavor is very sweet - like a sodapop with strong notes of juniper berries. The end is quite dry.

Feb 14, 2005 Beautiful amber color. Strong aroma of caramel mixed with myrtle (rosemary-like, minty), that I don’t like too much… Good body strength, some malty sweetness, combined with the herbs and bitter enough. Heartless, but drinkable.

Jan 24, 2005 Botled, bought in France. Ugh! Tastes like an alcopop. Sweet, vodka based drink with a herbal bitterness to balance things out. But according to the label on the bottle this is all beer. Hmm. OK. This is drinkable, and I do tend to enjoy these things - it’s just that I was expecting something more serious and beer like. The only brewery on Corsica itself is Pietra - and they also use herbs and suchlike in their brewing. I suppose this is an attempt to capture some of pietra’s market. Hmm. Some coffee aroma. Hmm. Some interesting chcolate flavours in here, but the whole thing is so much an alcopop that any nice features are overwhelmed by the plastic mouthfeel and the artifical construction.

Jul 5, 2005 Bottled. Brown beer light head. Light ginger beer aroma and a weakish ginger and water flavour. Overall tastes like a ginger beer to me.
